Welcome to my new(-ish) blog (currently on pub.colonq.computer)! LLLLColonq was kind enough to hook me (simple humble viewer) up with a site folder on this webring server, so I’m gonna run a small blogspace here.
What I’ve accomplished
-
Configuring Astro.js + Code - OSS for dynamic blog updates: So that I don’t have to copy-paste HTML code everytime I want to spit keypresses onto my virtual soapbox, I created a website repository with Astro.js installed. This software lets me set up templates for various layout elements and compiles my whole site dynamically whenever I edit, which is pretty convienent. Meanwhile, I finally got Code - OSS (VSCode fork) configured so I can autocomplete and syntax check because I’m lazy, lol.
-
Refactored site markup: I had to refactor so much markup and code into components, but it should make blogging and adding resources easier in the long run. One fun outcome is that the front blog preview widget now should highlight the most recent post, followed by 2 next-recent posts, as I update the blog.
-
Added image links to my socials: Down below (but above all my 3p1c l33t 88x31 swagboard), I have added buttons for my socials (Bluesky and Github). I also added a fun (but redundant) webring button element. If I move this blog to self-hosting, I might also integrate a Mastadon/Akkoma instance as well.
What’s next
Add whatever I think sounds cool, lol.
